Become a Commercial Pilot

Requirements to become a Commercial Pilot:

• Have a Private Pilot Certificate

• Be 18 years old to get your pilot certificate (You can be any age to begin your training)

• Pass an FAA Knowledge Test

• Obtain a 3rd class medical certificate

• Complete the required Flight Training

• Pass a FAA Checkride

Flight Requirements:

The FAA requires 250 hours of flight time. There are also some cross-country and solo requirements.

What can you do with the license?

• Get Paid to Fly!

• Work for air tours, aerial surveys, or smaller cargo operators.
