Hold a Private Pilot Certificate
Hold at least a third-class medical/basic med.
50 hours of PIC cross-country time
40 hours of simulated instrument time
15 hours of instrument training with a CFII
(20 hours of simulated instrument time can be done in an FAA approved simulator)
Fly on an IFR flight plan,
Fly in conditions below VFR weather mins (through clouds)
